LedgerBridge retainer and support model discussed on 2026-03-21.
After setup, LedgerBridge can be sold with an optional recurring support/maintenance model.
Monthly support can include:
- scheduled execution/hosting
- maintenance of the workflow
- monitoring for input drift or failures
- support for malformed files
- minor config adjustments
- recurring delivery of the clean report
- traceability through logs/archive/quarantine behavior
What support should not automatically include:
- unlimited new custom reports
- major workflow redesign
- unlimited custom consulting
- large schema changes without repricing
Triggers for extra work or repricing:
- new input file types
- major column changes from source systems
- new outputs beyond the original scope
- more frequent runtime needs than agreed
- extra reporting/analytics requests
Commercial framing:
- setup fee pays for discovery, mapping, testing, and first deployment
- monthly fee pays for reliability, maintenance, support, and recurring runs
Customer-facing value:
- they do not need to maintain the workflow
- errors are caught instead of silently corrupting the result
- the report keeps arriving without manual reconciliation
Strategic goal:
- use support as recurring revenue, but define boundaries so the business does not become cheap unlimited custom labor.
